The Actual News:

Hey ok so this is just a quick update notice, but I’ve been slowly chipping away at the ColorDex . It’s hardly complete, but it should at leaat give you an idea of what I’m planning for it.

So wait, what is the “ColorDex” you’re (probably not) asking? Well, it’s a collection of colors for each Pokémon elemental type, from across as many Pokémon games as I can pull them from. Some of them I need to get a little creative with, like Gen 1, which involves me taking color averages for all Pokémon of the same type.

The overall goal is to have a resource for Pokémon artists to use if they want to have a pallet of colors to use for their piece of Pokémon artwork. I for one definitely plan on using it for my artwork when it comes time to work on the SpaceWorld GS fake card set!

As a general FYI, but also as a note to self, I’m hoping to get the following color info from these games:

  • Mainline Gen 1-8
  • Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2
  • Pokémon Colosseum
  • Pokémon Home
  • Pokémon Conquest
  • Pokémon Rumble
