A Quick Diversion:

The Actual News:

Recently I realized that… why bother using something as cumbersome as :GG :GA :G9 :GA :G4 emoticons—and then trying to make PA! visitors use them as well—when I can just make a Galarian FONT that ANYONE could use! I mean, creating my own font from scratch is a cinch! And by “from scratch”, I actually mean using something like FontLab or Fontographer to build a font using paths and vectors, being conscious of kerning (aka “keming”), etc, instead of using some random online “upload a picture of your handwriting” font utility. But also by making it a proper custom font, it can actually be styled to be BOLD, or italic, or—get this—both BOLD AND ITALIC! Pretty sweet, huh? AND it doesn’t require me to create a new set of emoticons in order to provide those basic styles. Why didn’t I think of this before??

Anyways, I’ve already started work on it:

I’m not gonna say TOO much about what I plan to do with it or what the steps will to actually make it… at least not yet. But I can say that I’m about halfway done with converting the Galarian emotions I made into vector artwork so that it can be imported into the font creator.

Now I won’t set any specific deadlines on when I’ll have it done by, but I can’t imagine it taking me too long to produce it. And then, when it’s done, I’ll be sure to upload it for everyone to download it and enjoy. Yay!

I have spoken.
